Members will sometimes need to change their information. If they’re having trouble changing their information, we’ve set up your Agent Portal so that you can help them change some of their personal information.
At this time, producers can help with:
Note: at this time, members that move outside the state of Massachusetts will no longer be eligible for Surround Insurance.
If a member needs to change these pieces of information, please contact us for further assistance:
- Legal name (what appears on their driver’s license)
- Email address
- Address of insured’s rented apartment
- Driver’s license number
- Social Security number
Take a picture the proof of the new driver’s license with updated name, email to care@surroundins.com.
Preferred name
When we email, call, and talk to members online, we want to use their name. Maybe it’s the same as the first name on their driver’s license, and maybe it’s not. If members would like to be called something different from their driver’s license, they can use this field to let producers and Surround representatives call them by the correct name.
To change this field:
- Type in the preferred name.
- Choose Save to confirm this change.
Phone number
New cellphone? No problem.
To change this field:
- Type in the new phone number.
- Choose Save to confirm this change.
Residential address
Our members may want to take Surround Insurance with them to their new apartment. As long as they’re staying in Massachusetts, you can help them make this change.
Since this is a big change that will reflect on their policy documents, we created a separate edit button to start this process.
To change this field:
- Choose Edit in the Address section.
- Type in the new address.
- Choose Save Address to confirm this change.
You do not need to choose the yellow Save button at the bottom of the page to save this change.
